10 things you probably didn't know about me..

Hi ya'll! Can you believe its already August.. I swear I can already feel the fall in the air. That's alright with me though; I LOVE crisp autumn breeze's and pumpkin spice latte's and of course HALLOWEEN! If you know me.. you probably already knew this about me though. Here's some things you might not know about me..

1. I am forever a Disney girl. Always have been, always will be a diehard Disney fan. I remember growing up and my mom taking my sister and I to the Disney store at the mall and it was the coolest thing. They had movies playing and a "pool" of Disney stuffed animals.. and of course the coolest Disney clothes.

2. ..but I HATE mascots. With how much I love Disney and the characters, I am pretty terrified of mascots or people dressed up as characters in real life. This has been something I have struggled with my whole life and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon. Oh well, we all have our fears right?

3. One of my favorite hobby's is running. I started in cross country in middle school and fell in love with the sport. The thought of getting outside and running off any steam or stress and just clearing my mind.. there's nothing better.

4. Having my food separated is important to me. There's nothing more repulsive then a pile of food mixed together lol. It's super important that my food's are separated and on different plates because of my sensory needs so anytime I go to a restaurant I have learned to advocate and speak up for myself and my needs. 

5. I LOVE oldie's movies. Well, really any movies in general but put on an old school love movie and I am one happy camper!

6. My favorite music genre is country. Although I listen to really any type of music genre, country has always been my favorite. Each year we have a country music festival near our home where I've gotten to see many different artists and even gather signatures! 

7. I have a strong faith. My relationship with God is very important to me and continues to grow every day. I have so much to be thankful for and am blessed to be living this life he gave me.

8. I have 3 FULL closets of clothing.. No, I'm not kidding. One could say I have a shopping addiction but I like to call it a passion for fashion. I have a very bold sense of fashion and love bright colors and sparkles galore. 

9. My favorite animals are horses and dolphins. I used to ride horses as therapy for many years and truly miss it. My horse was named Dell and unfortunately he passed away a while back. Dolphins have always been so fascinating to me and symbolize the ocean which is one of my favorite places to be. As kids my sister and I got to swim with the dolphins in Mexico. 

10. I have an amazing memory. I can remember specific details about things that happened YEARS ago. I like to think of this as one of the many benefits of living with ASD.. always look at the bright side :)
